Fourth Floor Medical Office Building

Saint Luke's Health System

Overland Park, Kansas

Completion Date 2017

20,000 Square Feet

Challenge:

The Saint Luke’s Fourth Floor Medical Office Building challenged the design team to develop existing shell space into three separate services on the fourth floor of the medical office building utilizing a centralized check in process.

Solution:

The final design solution focused on centralized check-in, allowing for ample visibility of various departments.

This project involved a 20,000 square foot full renovation of an existing floor of a medical office building into a multi-specialty clinic. The program includes gastroenterology, obstetrics, neurology, and all associated support services. Shell space was included in the design to support additional services.

Centralized check-in and waiting were implemented and the clinical space itself was designed to have a full on-stage/off-stage concept for patients and staff. This approach allowed for incorporated staff areas on exterior walls allowing natural light to penetrate into the core of the space.

In addition to architectural services, Pulse Design Group provided all phases of medical equipment planning for this project.
